Police fail to find anti-draft material during search of ‘Prachatai’ office

POLICE from Sutthisan Station conducted a search yesterday of an office of Prachathai, the online news agency, to investigate links to the recent arrest of one of the agency’s reporters in Ratchaburi.

Activists disappointed as court finds clause constitutional

IN A UNANIMOUS 9-0 vote, the Constitutional Court ruled yesterday that the second paragraph of the referendum law’s Article 61 is not in conflict with the post-coup interim charter, and hence is constitutional.
NO MATTER how the Constitutional Court rules on the Referendum Law’s Article 61 today, the national poll on the charter and the roadmap to democracy would not be delayed, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday.
The Constitutional Court has set next Wednesday as the date for a ruling on whether the second clause of Article 61 of the referendum law can be considered unconstitutional.
